I\'ve been caring for my mom for several months now and have been mentally and emotionally tired so now I\'m looking for a caregiver for my mom. I spoke to my mom about it and I know she doesn\'t like this idea because she\'s been vocal about it. But now, it seems like my mom is pretending to have alzheimer\'s to get my attention. She thinks that it will change my mind about hiring a caregiver to care for her. How can I tell if she\'s really has Alzheimer\'s or she\'s just pretending to have Alzheimer\'s?

Not really sure if my mom is faking alzheimer\'s but I just have a feeling that she pretends to forget things to get the attention she wants. Like she asks me the same questions over and over. I just read this forum. Wow can someone actually fake Alzheimer\'s? I don\'t think its possible because doctors will be able to diagnose whether a senior has Alzheimer\'s Disease or not.
