Our friend went to the doctor for a checkup and found out that he had had what some call a "silent heart attack." He had no clue whatsoever that he he had suffered heart damage. If he hadn't gone in for his annual senior checkup, he still might not have known. Get those checkups.

This should be a lesson to seniors and everyone as well. Most of us visit the doctor only when we feel that our body is telling us that something is wrong. An annual checkup is a preventive measure.

We try to get all the 'check ups' we need each year since a lot of it is provided by medicare. You really should stay on top of some things for preventive reasons.

That is really scary and I am glad your friend survived his silent heart attack. I go to my senior checkups religiously because I hear of stories like this.

I'm glad your friend is okay. I'm sure he would value getting his check-ups more after that "silent heart attack" episode. No one is really immune to these things, especially seniors. Prevention is always key.
