I recently lost a dear friend who had alzheimers. She was staying with her daughter and slipped out one night during the winter. They found her the next day in the woods close to her home but it was too late. Baby gates and alarms might have helped. Don't you think?

That's sad to hear and sorry for your loss. I hear on the news often about a person with alzheimer's wandering off from home and being lost for hours and sometimes days. Sometimes it is a happy ending but most of the time not. I guess you need to take all the precautions needed to help keep them safe.

Oh, this is such a sad story to hear. People with Alzheimer's experience disorientation so they may wander away. I guess here are gadgets that can be attached to these individuals to be able to track them particularly when they move about aimlessly.

Families of Alzheimer's patients should exercise extra safety measures because people with this disease are not far from leaving their homes and wandering. I think there are GPS devices that can be attached to the patient to sort of monitor them.
