Our local library has a senior book club. These folks all read the same book and meet once a week for discussion and coffee at the library. It keeps their mind active and helps them get have more of a social life. I plan to get involved in one when I retire. How about you?

We have a similar one in our library, but the members vary based on the books that are in the series. The one at the church is built around Christian books, of course. Seniors branch out and form their own groups a lot of the time.

I am not sure if there is a senior book club in the public library nearest to our home, but whenever I go there, I see a lot of seniors. Most of them are intent on reading the newspapers and magazines. I think joining a book club is beneficial to the seniors' social life and mental functioning.

Our local Library does have a senior book club with quite a few members. They also have seniors that take turns coming in a couple times a week to read to small children. They seem to enjoy and it gives them something to do (both the seniors and kids).

Our local library offers several programs for seniors, so I suppose there is a senior book club or a similar one. Since seniors have all the time to read, joining a book club is definitely not a bad idea.
