I finally found a book of large print crossword puzzles. I love to do these puzzles and most times keep a dictionary handy. I feel like it keeps my mind active. Don't you think?

I've always enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. My favorites have been the ones in the Sunday paper. But I have also purchased the big crossword books. I'll admit, though - I don't usually look up the answers in a dictionary. Every now and then I cheat by looking up an answer in the back.

I too love to do the crosswords but I often find the ones in the newspaper too much the same from day to day. So I have bought a few books from different publishers and now I alternate.

I didn't realize they had some crossword puzzle books in the large print. I think I would like to find one of those. And you are right, this is a very good way to keep a seniors mind active and I usually have one that is on going so I can work it when I want to.

Crossword puzzles or any puzzles are excellent for keeping the mind sharp. There have been studies that show that while doing puzzles does not prevent Alzheimer's, it can slow some of the symptoms from manifesting and keep your mind sharper longer with the disease.

I've also heard that same thing about Alzheimer's and puzzles. It's always good to try and keep your mind sharp and I do love crossword puzzles. I'm also going to have to find those that come in the larger print. It certainly makes it easier on the eyes.
