I am in need of some good Christmas gift ideas for my 82 year old aunt who lives in an Assisted Living facility. She has plenty of slippers, blankets and sweatshirts.

Gift cards from the grocery help sometimes. Or maybe a gift card to a book store if she likes to read. You could also do a gift card to a yarn store, an online store of some kind. The list is really endless.

A gift card to a favorite restaurant is a favorite of the seniors in my family. It gets them out and about a little, and who doesn't like something good to eat in their old age?

How about some non-skid socks? I bought these for my mom one year. Does she like games? Maybe some jumbo sized easy to read playing cards? Edibles are always good...candy, fruit baskets, crackers and cheese for snacks.

Bringing to a restaurant would be a good treat. If your aunt doesn't like going out then you could surprise her with something that you cooked yourself. Food is always appreciated in my own opinion.

I think that as the seniors in our family get older, they become picky and fussy, so I prefer giving them gift cards. And they actually like it.
